The 10 Potty Training Commandments

1.      Thou shall take your new pup out to potty every time she's done sleeping, eating, and playing.  And frequently in between.

2.      Thou shall get a crate so when you cannot supervise your pup, she will be somewhere where shell be motivated to hold her bladder.  This will increase bladder strength.

3. Thou shall make sure she's in the same room with you and that you watch her like a hawk.

4. Thou shall put a cat bell on her so if she does go to another room, you will be able to hear her and bring her back into sight!

5. Thou shall take her to the same spot every single time, in the beginning, so she is stimulated to go right away.

6. Thou can give her a lower level reward such as praise or kibble so your puppy focuses on going potty instead of getting a reward right away.

7. Thou shall notice behaviors such as intensely sniffing, quickly pacing, circling around,  or hovering by a door, and interrupt her if she is going potty in the house and take her to the proper place.

8. If she does not go while outside, thou shall put her in the crate for 15 min, and try again.  Repeat until she does go.

9. Thou shall neutralize any accidents in the house so she is not stimulated to go in the house again.  Save your money, and instead of using pricey products, white vinegar will neutralize the odor just as well, if not better.

10. Thou shall contact Be Free Dogs if you have any questions on training.
